Entry to Zoos Victoria Gen Wild events are available from the advertised event start and finish times via the Rail Gate, where a Zoos Victoria educator will greet participants.
Transport to and from the event is the responsibility of the participant.
Limited tickets are available until sold out. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone.
Participants do not need to be a Zoo member to attend.
Gen Wild is intended to build independence in teens. There are some occasions and activities where participants will not be under the direct supervision of a staff member. These unsupervised activities will only be undertaken within Zoo grounds and with the attendee being informed of how to access assistance if required.
Participants are to remain in the Zoo grounds and to be punctual when returning from breaks.
Participants are responsible for providing any personal required medication. In the case where Zoos Victoria are unable to make contact with the provided emergency contact, Zoos Victoria will provide first aid, as deemed to be reasonably necessary by a Zoos Victoria First Aid Officer.
Photographs and video may be taken during the event. The media may be digitally edited, altered, distorted, used in whole or in part, in conjunction with other images, graphics, text and sound in any way whatsoever and without restrictions. Where we have taken photographs or video, we may use those images in marketing campaigns or for internal training. We will seek your consent first.
Supervising adults are current holders of a Working with Children Check.
Participants must be aged 12-18 inclusive. Proof of age may be requested.
Participants must bring their event ticket on the day to gain entry.
Melbourne Zoo is an outdoor all-weather venue and in the event of rain, the event will still proceed. NO RAINCHECKS. Exceptions to this policy are when the Zoo is closed due to storm damage or for emergency reasons.
If the event is unable to run as planned for any reason beyond the control of Zoos Victoria, Zoos Victoria reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel the event. In this situation every effort will be made to communicate this information to members.
We strictly do not offer refunds unless the event has been cancelled.
Zoos Victoria reserves the right to refuse admission or to eject a ticket holder for behaviour likely to cause damage, injury, nuisance, annoyance or for failure to comply with reasonable requests.
Zoos Victoria will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage caused, or suffered by any guests attending the event.
Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Zoos Victoria, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions and trade promotions) or to enhance the demand for other goods or services, either by the original purchaser or any subsequent bearer. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without a refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
