At Werribee Open Range Zoo, we cater for every taste and budget – from adults looking for a delicious bistro meal to fussy kids looking for a snack on-the-go, and everything in between.
Where: Next to the Main Entrance
The Meerkat Bistro offers sustainable, seasonal dining at its best, with unique views of African animals at play. Sit inside and watch the cheeky meerkats, or take advantage of our large sunny deck and outdoor tables, overlooking the gorilla island exhibit.
The bistro’s delicious meals are freshly made, using local produce whenever possible – including freshly-baked breads and pastries from the Zoo’s in-house bakery and herbs picked from our garden.
The family-friendly menu includes soups served with Zoo bakery rolls, a selection of salads and fresh sandwiches as well as more substantial meals, such as fish and chips and hand made burgers.
The menu includes gluten-free and vegetarian options and other dietary needs can also be accommodated.
Accompany your meal with a glass of wine, beer, a quality coffee or hot chocolate.
Our kids’ menu has universal favourites - such as pastas, burgers and chips with a choice of salads or vegetables available.
