Double Birthday for Lion Pride

The Lion pride at Werribee Open Range Zoo will mark a milestone this week, with Lioness Nilo and Lion Tombo both celebrating special birthdays.

Elderly Lion Tombo will turn 20 and Nilo will turn 4 on Thursday 17 March.

Introducing Healesville Sanctuary’s newest arrivals; two gorgeous Platypus twins! After 13 year old mum Binarri and six year old dad Tarrabi were spotted courting late last year, Binarri had almost immediately begun making preparations and nesting. The twins emerged from their underground burrow approximately 133 days after hatching.
