Melbourne Zoo launches Melbourne Knowledge Week Program ‘Hack the Zoo: Reimagining frogs’

5 April 2018

Today Melbourne Zoo in collaboration with City of Melbourne unveiled Hack the Zoo: Reimagining frogs one of many events part of the exciting 2018 Melbourne Knowledge Week program.

The all-day Design Hack will encourage Melburnians to creatively contribute to a concept design for a brand new research and visitor centre which will better connect the community to locally threatened frog species, bringing to the fore the incredible breeding and research work currently taking place behind the scenes for many of these fragile species.

This unique Design Hack will take place in the serene surrounds of Melbourne Zoo and will be supported by the Zoo’s very own think-tank, including, threatened species experts, frog husbandry experts and visitor experience specialists to help inspire and develop a possible future Zoo experience.

At the end of the day, participants will pitch their idea to a stellar judging panel for awesome prizes and the chance to their ideas make lasting impact as it’s developed from concept into solution.

We’re currently calling for expressions of interest open now until 5pm Wednesday 18 April 2018, spaces will be limited.
