The facts about Bong Su’s life

1. Bong Su came to Melbourne Zoo as a three-year-old orphaned elephant calf in 1977. His mother, Mina, died in the Kuala Krau elephant refuge from severe liver fluke infection. At the request of the Malaysian government, Bong Su was rehomed to Melbourne Zoo.
