Every day at the Sanctuary, our Aboriginal Cultures Education Officers deliver workshops for students. This Reconciliation Week, we are sharing this experience with our members for free.

In this walking workshop, you will explore Aboriginal Cultures, knowledge systems and relationships with Country, and connect with ancient and contemporary ways of caring for Country.

The workshop explores:

  • Aboriginal Cultures, knowledge systems and connection to Country and wildlife
  • Australian animal features and behaviours
  • How living things depend on each other and their environment
  • Features of Australian animals
  • Impact of humans and seasonal changes on the environment
  • Actions that you can adopt to help care for Country
