Daily at 10.30am and 2pm

Please arrive a minimum 15 minutes prior to the start time and make yourself known to staff upon arrival.

GROUP SIZE

Max. 8 people (unless agreed with the Visitor Experience team prior to encounter).

RESTRICTIONS

Children aged 9+ can participate without a parent/guardian; parent/guardian must be present.

Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian.

Children aged 3 and under can accompany a parent/guardian FREE of charge; they must be held by the adult participating.
The child cannot feed the Cassowaries for safety reasons; the adult participating cannot hold the child whilst feeding the Cassowaries.

Enclosed shoes must be worn for all animal experiences. Please Note: Crocs are not considered enclosed shoes.

Accessible for people with mobility requirements.

Don’t be fooled by the colourful Cassowary’s striking blue neck or soft feathers, this deadly animal has dinosaur-like feet, a razor-sharp beak and in-built helmet on its head.

Get up close to this incredible bird from behind the safety of a barrier, help feed it morning tea, and then enjoy an educational talk from our keepers who know these birds best.
