ZOOS VICTORIA MEMBER COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This Zoos Victoria competition (“Competition”) is offered subject to the terms and conditions set out below "Terms and Conditions". 

The promoter of this Competition is the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board trading as Zoos Victoria (the “Promoter”) ABN 96 913 959 053, located at the address of Elliott Avenue, Parkville VIC 3052.

Who can enter? 

Entry is only available to active Zoos Victoria Members (“Members”) who are aged 18 years or older. Entrants under 18 years of age may enter only with parental or guardian consent. Should the winner be under the age of 18 years, over the prize will be awarded to the parent/guardian. Zoos Victoria reserves the right to require an entrant to produce identification and/or proof of age.  

Employees, officers (including volunteers and board members) and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Minor Hotels or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion are ineligible. "Immediate family" of a person means the parents, siblings, children, and spouse or partner (whether legal or de facto) of that person and any person associated with the Competition. 

How to Enter 

1. To enter the Competition, you must book a stay with Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites during the promotional period for a stay no later than 15 December 2024. Booking must be made using the Promo code provided in your member email or on your online dashboard. The winner must confirm their details at the time of being notified that they are an active member of Zoos Victoria.
2. The competition is a game of chance, and the winner will be chosen randomly.
3. The competition opens at 9am Thursday 27 June 2024 and closes at 11.59pm on Saturday 27 July 2024 (“Competition period”). Any entry received after the expiry of the Competition Period will be deemed invalid.
4. Entry to the competition is free.
5. Each entry must be entered in accordance with the terms and conditions of the competition. By entering the Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The promote may in its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. All relevant instructions on the Promoter’s website (if any) form part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Prize 

The prize is one (1) (“Prize Voucher”) for a two (2) night stay in a twin share lead room type for two (2) people at any participating property of Oaks Hotels & Resorts (“Minor Hotels”) in Australia. 

Terms and Conditions 

1. This voucher ("Prize Voucher”) entitles the recipient to one x two (2) night stay in a Hotel Room for two (2) people at any participating property of Oaks Hotels & Resorts (“Minor Hotels”) in Australia set out below, subject to these terms and conditions. Avani Resorts and Hotels are not included in this offer.

2. The Prize Voucher is valid for use until 30 June 2025 and accommodation bookings must occur prior to this date. In the event of amendment of a confirmed booking, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites standard conditions and charges may apply.

3. Accommodation bookings may be rescheduled provided that they do not extend past 30 June 2025. Please refer to https://www.oakshotels.com/en/terms-and-conditions.

4. To redeem your Prize Voucher please contact Minor Hotels on 13 62 57.

5. Accommodation bookings may only be made by persons over 18 years of age.

6. All accommodation bookings are subject to availability. Blackout dates apply over peak travel periods and public holidays. Please contact Minor Hotels for these black out dates when booking is made.

7. Minor Hotels and any of its related entities is not responsible (either directly or indirectly) for:

a) delays, reschedules, insolvency, acts of war and force majeure impacting on the winner’s travel arrangements or use of the Prize Voucher by any third party product or service provider; loss, damage, accidents or injury arising from any aspect of any booking, reservation or use of products or services connected with the Prize Voucher; or

b) any ancillary costs incurred by the winner including but not limited to travel costs, insurance, food and beverage costs or any other expenses incurred during use of the Prize Voucher.

8. The recipient of the Prize Voucher is responsible for any and all other travel arrangements and associated costs (including but not limited to travel, flights, parking, food, transport, passports, visas, permits, local taxes, duties, travel insurance or any additional costs or charges including any damages incurred throughout your stays at Minor Hotels).

9. The Prize Voucher cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. Under no circumstances can the Prize be on-sold for profit or any other purpose.

11. Personal information used and/or collected for the purpose of use of this Prize Voucher is in accordance with the Minor Hotels Privacy Policy, which can be viewed on the website  https://www.oakshotels.com/en/privacy.

12. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a Zoos Victoria experience to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.

13. The Promoter will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage caused, or suffered by the winner in relation to any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize.

14. Notification and claiming the Prize. Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified using the contact details provided by the member in the Zoos Victoria database.  The winning Entrant has one (1) week from the time and date of the notification being sent to respond, provide proof of eligibility, and claim the Prize. If the Prize is not claimed by the winning Entrant within this time frame, the Prize will be redrawn, and any previous winners will forgo all claims to the Prize.

15. Proof of age may be required to claim the prize and is at the discretion of the Promoter.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice and at any stage during the promotion.

17. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s conduct of the Competition or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the prize/s to the prize winner/s of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.

18. You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and any communication of your entry to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter.

19. You agree that the Promoter may use your entry, any personal details and photographic material related to the prize provided to the Promoter for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to you.

20. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

21. Decisions of the Promoter are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition, and no correspondence will be entered into.
