I’m a mammal, but don’t be fooled, I lay eggs, which is quite cool! With spines to protect, I dig and hide, Look for me where I reside.

This Easter weekend, join the hunt to uncover some of nature’s most fascinating egg-laying animals as you explore winding paths around Healesville Sanctuary.

Follow the trail of riddles, crack each clever clue, and match it to the animal it describes. Then, set off to find that animal’s habitat and uncover a hidden letter at each location. Keep your eyes peeled and your mind sharp, collect all the letters to reveal the mystery word and complete your adventure!

Discover more about Australia’s incredible wildlife while experiencing the Sanctuary in a whole new way. This fun, interactive adventure is perfect for the whole family.

 

Plus, members who complete the hunt will go in the running to win a Family Membership*.

  1. To enter the competition an entrant must be a valid member of Zoos Victoria and visit Healesville Sanctuary between regular opening hours of Friday 3rd April – Monday 6th April 2026. 

  1. Closing date for entry will be 5pm Monday 6th April (AEST). After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 

  1. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for any reason. 

  1. Each entry must include your name, email address, phone and membership number.  

  1. One entry per member. 

  1. No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. Prizes are non-transferrable and subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.  

  1. The winner will be drawn and announced 13th April 2026. 

  1. The winner will be notified by email and/or letter within 28 days of the draw. Non-winning entrants will not be notified.  

  1. Zoos Victoria’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

  1. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
