Zoos Victoria Member Grandparents Day Competition

This Zoos Victoria Member Grandparents Day Competition (“Competition”) is offered subject to the terms and conditions set out below "Terms and Conditions".

The promoter of this Competition is the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board trading as Zoos Victoria (the “Promoter”) ABN 96 913 959 053, located at the address of Elliott Avenue, Parkville VIC 3052.

Who can enter?

Entry is available to all active Zoos Victoria Members (“Members”). Entrants under 16 years of age may enter only with parental or guardian consent. Should the winner be under the age of 16 years, the prize will be awarded to the parent/guardian. Zoos Victoria reserves the right to require an entrant to produce identification and / or proof of age. 

Employees, officers (including volunteers and board members) and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter or of the agencies or companies associated with this Promotion are ineligible. "Immediate family" of a person means the parents, siblings, children, and spouse or partner (whether legal or de facto) of that person and any person associated with the Competition.

How to Enter

1. Entry to the competition is free.

2. Entrants must complete the online entry form, emailed to active primary account holders on 6^th October and 13^th October 2026.

3. All sections of the entry form must be completed, including an answer to the prompt “In 25 words or less, share your favourite zoo memory with a grandparent or loved one, or tell us about your dream zoo day together.” Member contact details must be provided, and the winner must be confirmed as an active Zoos Victoria member at the time of entering the draw.

4. The competition is game of skill, chance plays no part in determining the winners. Each entry will be individually judged on originality, creative merit and relevance to of the answer to the question. 

5. The Competition opens at 9.00am on 6^th October 2026 and ends at 11.59pm Tuesday 20^th October 2026.

6. The winners will be drawn and contacted on Thursday 22^nd October 2026.

7. The winning entrants will be contacted by phone and/or email with details provided, non-winning entrants will not be notified. 

The Prizes

Four (4) winners will be selected from all valid entries and awarded one (1) of the following prizes:

Zoos Victoria Membership for 2 Adults

Zoos Victoria membership for two (2) adults and up to five (5) free children (under 16) from the same household. The perfect gift to give the grandparents! Valued at $298.

Zoos Victoria $100 Gift Card 
1 x $100 Zoos Victoria Gift Card. Gift cards can be used on experiences, membership, admissions tickets and in our retail stores! Valued at $100. 

General Admission Double Pass

2 x Complimentary general admission tickets for any of Zoos Victoria properties to bring along your non-member guests! It’s never been easier to bring the grandparents to the zoo! Valued at approx. $122.

Double Movie Passes 
Complimentary cinema passes for two (2) adults, thanks to our partner Village Cinemas. Valued at approx. $46. 

Terms and Conditions

1. The total retail prize value is approximately $566.00 (AUD), includes GST. * Correct at time of printing

2. The prizes will be issued to winners upon confirmation of active membership details and acceptance of prizes. 

3. Zoos Victoria memberships are not-transferrable, and full names and date of birth are required for all memberships. Zoos Victoria Membership may be issued to new members or as extension of current membership ticket. If applied as extension, membership is dependent on completion of current membership term, including any monthly instalment contract in place.

4. Zoos Victoria gift card will be sent electronically to the email address listed on the membership account. Zoos Victoria gift card can be used for admission tickets, memberships, animal encounters, overnight experiences and in the onsite Zoo Shop, and is valid for 3 years from issue date.

5. Zoos Victoria general admission double passes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

6. Each Village Cinema voucher is valid for one movie session admission. Voucher can be redeemed online at villagecinemas.com.au, eventcinemas.com.au or at the ticket box for movie sessions at participating cinema locations*. Seating is subject to availability. Please redeem this voucher for a seat to your selected movie session. Not valid for Gold Class, premium seating concepts, recliner seating, group bookings, special events, movie marathons or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. A surcharge applies for 3D, 4DX, Vmax, Vpremium, Vjunior, and Dolby Atmos sessions. Booking fees may apply. It is the responsibility of the holder to redeem vouchers for a movie session scheduled on or before they expire. Vouchers are not refundable, not transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash or other gift products. Lost or expired vouchers will not be extended, replaced or exchanged for cash. *Refer to villagecinemas.com.au or eventcinemas.com.au for applicable locations. Not valid for films listed as NFT. Not valid for movie sessions starting after 5pm on Saturday

7. No component of any prize can be redeemed for cash. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar prize to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation.

8. All other costs associated with the prizes, including but not limited to admission entry where applicable, additional guests, additional spending money, meals, taxes, accommodation, transport, and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner and their guests.

9. The Promoter will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage caused, or suffered by the winner in relation to any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize.

10. The Prize winner and guests must comply with all standard terms and conditions of entry, encounter terms and conditions, if applicable, and membership terms and conditions.

11. Notification and claiming the Prize. Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified using the contact details provided by the member in the membership database.  The winning Entrant has one (1) week from the time and date of the notification being sent to respond, provide proof of eligibility, and claim the Prize. If the Prize is not claimed by the winning Entrant within this time frame, the Prize will be redrawn, and any previous winners will forgo all claims to the Prize.

12. Proof of age may be required to claim the prize and is at the discretion of the Promoter.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice and at any stage during the promotion.

14. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s conduct of the Competition or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the prize/s to the prize winner/s of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner.

15. You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and any communication of your entry to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter.

16. You agree that the Promoter may use your entry, any personal details and photographic material related to the prize provided to the Promoter for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to you.

17. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.

18. Decisions of the Promoter are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition, and no correspondence will be entered into.
