Zoos Victoria member visit & win terms and conditions

2. Entry to the competition is free with active membership. 

3. Members must visit Zoos Victoria’s properties, namely Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, Werribee Open Range Zoo and Kyabram Fauna Park (collectively called “zoos”) between 6th July 2026 and 4th October 2026, when the zoo is open to the public. Entry is not valid for visits or attending after hours events or activities. Opening and closing times vary for each zoo and you can check them on the website (https://www.zoo.org.au). 

4. Members (including children) must scan their valid physical or digital membership card upon entry on the day of their visit. Members will receive one entry to the competition for each day they visit during the competition period. Multiple scans on the same day count as one entry for the competition.  

5. Zoos Victoria may at its discretion offer bonus entries to the competition, where particular dates or date ranges will be worth additional entries. If offered, these dates will be communicated to the primary account holders of each membership account, who are subscribed to receive member emails. They will also be listed in the Member Zone. 

6. Zoos Victoria Memberships are not-transferable and must only be used by the named person on the membership card. Proof of identification may be requested at admission. Misuse of membership will void all entries into the competition.  

7. The winners will be drawn on Wednesday 7th October 2026 and will be cross-checked and verified against the membership database to ensure eligibility.  

8. The winning entrant will be contacted by phone and/or email within 2 business days of the draw, with details provided. Non-winning entrants will not be notified.

The Prize

The prize is a trip to the award winning Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo for 4 guests, including flights! This unique eco-retreat combines luxury boutique accommodation, incredible Sydney harbour views, immersive animal experiences and exceptional modern Australiana dining, all just minutes from Sydney’s CBD.  

1. The total retail prize value is over $5,000 (AUD), including GST *Correct at time of printing, and will vary depending on travel dates. 

2. Accommodation is for 4 people, no age restriction. 

3. Accommodation must be booked by 30 June 2027, by contacting Taronga Zoo directly, on email contact that will be provided to the winner. Block out dates of 29th Dec 2026 – 3rd Jan 2027. 

4. Flight voucher will be provided electronically to the winner. Expiry date will be printed on the voucher.   

5. No component of the prize can be redeemed for cash. In the event that the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a similar experience to the same or greater value as the original prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation. 

6. All other costs associated with the prize, including but not limited to additional guests, meals, spending money, and additional travel costs are the responsibility of the winner and their guests. 

7. All entrants must comply with Zoos Victoria entry and membership terms and conditions 

8. The prize winner and guests must comply with all Taronga Zoo's terms and conditions 

9. The Promoter will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage caused, or suffered by the winner in relation to any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using any prize. 

10. Notification and claiming the Prize. Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified using the contact details provided by the member in the membership database.  The winning Entrant has one (1) week from the time and date of the notification being sent to respond, provide proof of eligibility, and claim the Prize. If the Prize is not claimed by the winning Entrant within this time frame, the Prize will be redrawn, and any previous winners will forgo all claims to the Prize.  

11. Flight and accommodation vouchers are valid until the expiry date(s) specified and must be redeemed prior to this date. Any voucher or part thereof not redeemed by the expiry date will automatically be forfeited and will not be extended, reissued or refunded.  

12. Zoos Victoria Memberships are not-transferable, and in the event of misuse of membership, all claims to the prize are void.  

13. The Promoter reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice and at any stage during the promotion. 

14. If there is any event that prevents or hinders the Promoter’s conduct of the Competition or the Promoter’s ability to deliver the prize/s to the prize winner/s of the Competition, the Promoter may, in its discretion, cancel the Competition and recommence it at another time under the same conditions or select another winner. 

15. You acknowledge that the Promoter is under no obligation to exercise any of the rights granted to it by these Terms and Conditions and any communication of your entry to the public by the Promoter is at the complete discretion of the Promoter. 

16. You agree that the Promoter may use your entry, any personal details and photographic material related to the prize provided to the Promoter for any promotional, marketing and publicity purposes of the Promoter in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to you. 

17. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Competition, or for any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. 

18. Decisions of the Promoter are final and will be binding on each person who enters the Competition, and no correspondence will be entered into.
