This event is perfect for students in Years 9-12 who want to explore careers in zoology, wildlife conservation, environmental science, animal welfare, and more.

Hear from zoo experts and specialists as they share career insights and advice across a range of engaging sessions. Each day features different speakers and topics, so there’s plenty to choose from.

Presentation sessions are booked in advance when purchasing your expo ticket. Sessions run at set times with limited capacity, so be sure to select the ones you’re most interested in when booking.

Workshops

Take part in interactive sessions that tackle real-world organisational challenges. Explore career pathways, gain insight into how organisations operate, and contribute your ideas through hands-on group activities.

New for this year, workshops run at set times across both days  You’ll select your preferred workshops when booking your ticket, so you can plan your experience in advance.

Important Information:

  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • The zoo prioritises animal welfare and wellbeing, so attendees will not be able to touch or hold any animals during this event. 
  • This is an outdoor all-weather program; the attendees will need appropriate clothing for weather conditions. This could include a raincoat, hat and sun protection.
  • Attendees need to bring their own food and drink bottle.
  • There are some activities within the zoo grounds where attendees will not be under the direct supervision of a staff member.
  • The attendees are to remain in the zoo grounds.
  • Attendees are responsible for providing and carrying with them any personal medication. First aid will be provided by a qualified Zoos Victoria First Aid Officer.
