Step into the world of a zoo keeper to discover what it takes to care for animals professionally.

This Animal Care VET Certificate II program explores the skills, knowledge and ethical frameworks that underpin professional animal care, with a focus on safety, welfare and best practice. Through real-world examples from Zoos Victoria, students investigate how decisions are made about nutrition, enrichment, training and healthcare in a professional setting.

  • Workplace safety across zoo operations
  • How animal adaptations inform species-specific diet plans
