Tackle real conservation challenges by applying advanced STEM thinking to wildlife conservation.

This Levels 9-10 Science and Design & Technologies program challenges students to apply STEM knowledge to complex wildlife conservation issues using creativity, problem-solving and Design Thinking. Students research a conservation challenge, then return to school to work in teams to design, prototype and test a solution, with the opportunity to share their ideas with zoo staff through Zoos Victoria’s Padlet.

  • Challenges that scientists and zoo keepers face in wildlife conservation
  • STEM skills including scientific observation, engineering and Design Thinking
