Integrating Aboriginal Cultures and Perspectives into Early Years Education

During this one-day workshop, you will: 

• Learn from our Aboriginal Cultures Education Officers and how to integrate Aboriginal histories, cultures and sciences into your teaching 
• Experience Aboriginal storytelling  and outdoor learning activities 
• Explore Healesville Sanctuary and connect to Australian animals 
• Talk with Sanctuary Teachers and other early childhood educators 

Includes all workshop materials, entry into the zoo for the day, and catered morning tea and lunch.

Recognition: certificate for 5 hours of PD

Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: 2.1, 2.3, 6.2

Curriculum areas: Geography, History, The Arts: Visual Arts, English, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures, VEYLDF

To ensure a collaborative experience, a minimum of 10 participants is required. If this number is not reached, the workshop will be cancelled with at least 7 days’ notice.
