U3A Caring for Animals Day

U3A members are invited to a special day at Melbourne Zoo to learn about animal welfare and care.

Enjoy all-day zoo access and a choice of either a morning or afternoon workshop that explores how Zoos Victoria supports animal welfare through science, behaviour and enrichment. You’ll hear real stories from zoo staff, take part in guided animal observations, enjoy hands-on activities and spend time connecting with fellow U3A members. Places are limited.

What You’ll Experience

During your workshop, you’ll:

  • Explore the fascinating world of animal welfare science
  • Learn how Zoos Victoria cares for animals across habitats
  • Hear real stories and insights from Zoo staff
  • Take home practical tips to support the animals in your own life

 

Choose the workshop time that suits you:

  • Morning session: 10am – 1pm (includes morning tea)
  • Afternoon session: 2pm – 5pm (includes afternoon tea)
