This special day at Werribee Open Range Zoo is for older adults who love animals and want to learn more about their care and wellbeing.
What you’ll experience
You will enjoy all‑day Zoo access plus a 3‑hour group workshop led by our expert team.
Your workshop will explore:
- The fascinating world of animal welfare science
- How Zoos Victoria cares for animals across habitats
- Real stories and insights from Zoo staff
- Take home practical tips to support the animals in your own life
Choose the workshop time that suits you:
- Morning session: 10am - 1pm (includes morning tea)
- Afternoon session: 2pm - 5pm (includes afternoon tea)
Enjoy the company of fellow animal enthusiasts and dive deep into a topic that sparks curiosity, compassion and connection.
Accessibility
These workshops cater for people with different needs:
- Captions will be on during the presentation
- We will travelling a short distance outside and will be moving at a gentle pace
- Free wheelchair bookings can be made up to 48 hours before the day
- You are welcome to bring a carer with you
