Jungle Dance Party FAQs

When is the event taking place?

The dance party will run from Saturday 5 July until Wednesday 16 July.

What time are the shows?

The dance party will be held daily at the following times:

  • 10:15am
  • 11:30am
How long is the show?

Each show lasts 45 minutes.

How long is the show?

Where is the show located?

The Jungle Dance Party will be held in Leopard Lodge at Melbourne Zoo. Leopard Lodge is located closest to the railgate entry to Melbourne Zoo on the map.

What time will the doors open?

Doors will open 15 minutes prior to your booked Jungle Dance party show time.

Do I need a ticket to attend the Jungle Dance Party?

Yes, everyone will require a ticket to attend the Jungle Dance Party along with a Melbourne Zoo entry ticket or valid membership card. Jungle Dance Party tickets can be purchased here.

Is the Jungle Dance Party included with Zoo entry?

We anticipate Jungle Dance Party to be Melbourne’s most popular party for the winter school holidays so we recommend booking tickets in advance to ensure you don’t miss out. Jungle Dance Party tickets can be purchased here.

Is there an age limit for the event?

There is no age limit to attend the Jungle Dance Party. All children under the age of 1 are free of charge to attend the shows.

All children under the age of 15 must be supervised by a paying adult.

Will the shows be seated?

There will be no seating at the Jungle Dance Party. Dancing is encouraged!

Can I bring my pram into the show?

Prams are not permitted in the Jungle Dance party but there will be designated pram parking allocated out the front of Leopard Lodge. We ask that all prams are parked here during the dance party.

Can I bring food and drink to the show?

No food and drink is permitted inside the venue due to safety requirements. However food and drinks can be consumed in the Leopard Lodge courtyard.

Are there toilets in Leopard Lodge?

Yes, there are toilets available for visitors to the Jungle Dance party to use inside Leopard Lodge as well as toilets just outside near the Rail Gate Cafe.

Are there parent room facilities in Leopard Lodge?

Unfortunately there are no parent room facilities in Leopard Lodge. The closest changing facilities are located at the Rail Gate toilets. The closest parent's room is located next to the Lakeside Bistro.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Yes the event is wheelchair accessible.

Is the show safe for accessibilty sensitivities?

The Jungle Dance Party will include a large LED screen, some flashing lights, a mist machine and confetti at certain points throughout the show.  We will be running low sensory sessions that will include reduced noise levels and lighting. Please check event website for dates and session times.

Can I take photos or videos during the show?

You sure can! Feel free to tag @ZoosVictoria when you share your special moments too. 

What happens if it rains?

Jungle Dance Party is an indoor event and the dancing will carry on rain, hail or shine!

What happens if the show is cancelled?

In the event the show is cancelled all ticket holders will be contacted to rebook or be eligible for a refund of their tickets.

What happens if I am late to attend my purchased time session?

Doors will close 15 mins after commencement of the show to ensure the safety of fellow visitors attending.

Passouts will be available, please see one of our friendly events team on the day.

What happens if I need to cancel or change the date of my ticket?

If you need to cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

·       Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to your scheduled visit are eligible for a full refund or the option to reschedule your booking.

·       Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled visit are not eligible for a refund. However, you may choose to reschedule your booking or have the funds transferred to a Zoos Victoria gift card for future use.

Please note: Zoos Victoria gift cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of issue and can be redeemed at any Zoos Victoria property.
