Go behind the scenes with a keeper to see how we care for hippos!
Meet our trio, Lotus, Primrose and Tulip as we give them their dinner and help set them set up for their nocturnal adventures. Get a unique perspective on the lives of our hippos and keepers as we share how we care for this charismatic species - discover how Pansy got her name, and hear about the characters of these two girls as we share stories while seeing up close how majestic they are when on land.
Zoo entry not included. Be sure to also book your entry tickets for the same date as your experience.
You can help us keep our animals safe from disease such as Foot and Mouth – please follow the guidelines below for animal experiences:
Ensure your shoes are clean (i.e., free of visible dirt/mud or organic matter)
Do not bring any food products with you on your experience
Do not bring any clothing or footwear that have been in contact with hoof stock
If you have been overseas in the seven days before your visit, please do not bring any shoes, clothing or other items from your travel
